2021 Economic Development Strategic Plan
In 2021, the City Council directed staff to complete an economic development strategic plan to provide a road map for the City in determining where to allocate resources and identify priorities for business attraction, retention, and expansion over a five-year period. The process should answer the following major questions:

Who and where are we? What is our community? What is our current economic base?

Which direction should we go? What opportunities exist to expand the economic base, and how do we ensure all segments of our population benefit from economic growth in the City?

How do we get there?
The City conducted an RFP and selected Better City, a firm that focuses on community economic development planning and implementation, to perform the work.
