The State of Maine allows residents to register to vote anytime, including the day of the election.
Residents of Bangor may register to vote at the City Clerk's office, or by downloading this fillable Voter Registration card and returning it, along with appropriate documentation, to the Registrar of Voters, 73 Harlow Street, Bangor, ME 04401. Proof of residency and proof of identity are required, such as a copy of a driver's license indicating a physical street address in Bangor (not a post office box mailing address). If your driver's license shows a previous address, please include a copy of a utility bill, lease, or other document that shows your Bangor street address. Mail in registration forms must be received by the Registrar of Voters by May 21, 2024. After that date residents must register in person.
Residents may register to vote on election day at the Cross Insurance Center. To assist us in making the voting process as easy as possible, we ask that you register in advance if at all possible.
