Housing Progress

During its annual priority-setting sessions, the City Council in recent years has stressed that housing must be a top concern, as housing impacts every aspect of our community. Housing was the priority for the 2023-2024 Council year, and the Council marked 2024-2025 as the "Year of Building," a commitment to housing, economic development, relationships and more. For 2025-2026, the Council is focusing on three areas: Establishing a comprehensive plan to address homelessness, continuing to address housing needs, and advocating for a fairer share of regional costs and regional participation in the resolution of regional challenges.
