Community Connector Bus Stop Designation Project: Public Comment Period Notice
Bangor, Maine: The Bus Stop Designation Project will transition Community Connector service from flag stops to a fixed stop system. Specific locations for each route have been identified based on popularity, infrastructure, and the optimum distance between stops. This change will improve the efficiency and reliability of service for riders and will allow Community Connector to expand rider amenities such as technology integration and stop amenities.
Community Connector is seeking input from the public on proposed stops before implementation begins later this year. The public comment period will begin on Monday, June 20th, and ends on Wednesday, July 20th. To submit comment, please call (207) 974-3111 or email info@bactsmpo.org.
Additionally, a public meeting has been scheduled at Bangor City Hall for June 29th at 5p.m. The public is encouraged to join virtually or in person to learn more, ask questions, and provide feedback. Public meeting information and link to the zoom meeting (pending) can be found on the City of Bangor meeting calendar. (www.bangormaine.gov/calendar)
