City of Bangor Issues Citywide Snow Clearing Order

The City of Bangor is issuing a Snow Clearing Order due to a blizzard forecasted for Saturday, January 29th, 2022.  Please read the following information carefully. 

Parking will be prohibited on public streets and parking lots outside the Downtown Parking Management District effective 6:00 am Saturday, January 29th, 2022, through 6:00 am Sunday, January 30th, 2022.  Vehicles left on the street or in city parking lots during a parking ban may be ticketed and towed at the owner's expense.

Parking will be prohibited on public streets and parking lots within the Downtown Parking Management District effective 11:00 pm Saturday, January 29th, 2022, through 6:00 am Sunday morning, January 30th, 2022.  Vehicles left on the street or in city parking lots during a parking ban may be ticketed and towed at the owner's expense.

There are three city parking lots in the Downtown District where vehicles may be parked from 5:00 pm through 7:00 am when a parking ban is in effect:

  • Lower level of Columbia Street deck (entrance on Hammond Street at the corner of Central Street)

  • Lower level of the Pickering Square Parking Garage on the Kenduskeag Plaza side (Kenduskeag Plaza West)

  • The rearmost section of the Upper Abbot Lot on Harlow Street

The City of Bangor has designated two additional parking areas for allowed parking during tomorrow's forecasted blizzard:

East Side: Residents may park at Upper Cameron Stadium parking lot, off Mt. Hope Ave. (approx. 251 Mt. Hope Ave.)   Parking will be allowed from 5:00 am, 1/29/22 through 7:00 am 1/30/22.

West Side: Residents may park at the Beth Pancoe Aquatic Center located at 175 13th St. in Bangor.  Parking will be allowed from 5:00 am, 1/29/22 through 7:00 am 1/30/22.
