3/30/2020 - Bangor Playground Equipment and Basketball Courts Closed Until Further Notice
As part of its ongoing efforts to prevent the spread of COVID-19, the City of Bangor is closing playground equipment and basketball courts at City parks and schools. Following guidance from public health officials, these closures are necessary to save lives and prevent additional exposure to this dangerous disease. Close contact or contaminated objects in these areas may make it easier for the virus to spread in our community.
City parks, trails, and downtown parkways remain open with the following instructions for use:
- Stay home if you’re feeling sick
- While on trails, warn other when passing, and step aside to let others pass
- Follow US CDC physical distancing guidelines and keep at least 6 feet apart from others
