11/4/2019 - Public Works Crews to Collect Brush from Wind Storm Beginning November 12th

The City of Bangor's Public Works crews will collect brush curbside from last week's damaging wind and rain storm beginning Tuesday, November 12, 2019. Residents are asked to place their brush piles curbside no later than 6:30am on Tuesday, November 12, 2019. Crews will make one pass around the city to collect brush piles. Brush not placed curbside by the cutoff date is not guaranteed to get picked up.

Public Works asks that brush piles are not placed on top of leaf piles. Curbside leaf collection, previously announced, is continuing throughout the city until the weather is no longer cooperative. Please place brush parallel to the curb away from low-hanging wires and rubbish/recycling containers. Brush can also be brought to the Public Works compound at 530 Maine Avenue, 7 days a week during daylight hours. A permit is required and can be obtained at no charge to Bangor residents at the Public Works office.

For all inquiries, please contact our Public Works department at 992-4500.
