10/12/2018 - Traffic Alerts: Week of October 12 - October 19, 2018

1. French/State Streets water and sewer project. For info, please call 989-2530.

Day work:
a. Crews will be working on French Street between State Street and Somerset Street and Penobscot Street with local traffic only. French and Penobscot Streets are very narrow one-way roads and the work area will be very congested. It is best to avoid this area if possible. If you need to visit this street, crews will assist you to your location. On-street parking will be limited. Please seek direction from signs and flaggers.

b. Watch for notifications on work on Park Street next week.

c. Crews will be working on Exchange Street sidewalks. Some parking restrictions.

Night work (7pm-7am):
d. Crews will be installing sewer and water lines on the inbound side of State Street from French Street to Broadway. Expect detours and/or lane shifts at State and Exchange and State and Broadway. Follow directions from signs and flaggers.

2. Middle Street sidewalk project. For info, please call 992-4500.

Public Works crews will be replacing the sidewalk on the east side of Middle Street between Columbia Street and Main Street. Areas will be posted no parking. Watch for directions from signs.

3. Exchange Street paving project. For info, please call 992-4500.

In preparation for milling, crews will be removing manholes and catch basins on Exchange Street from York Street to Washington Street. Watch for parking restrictions and follow directions from signs and flaggers.

4. Bangor Water District water line replacement project on Hammond and Union Streets. For info, please call 989-2530.

Crews will be installing a new water line on Union Street between Hammond Street and West Broadway. At times inbound traffic on Union Street will be detoured down Pond Street to Cedar Street to Main Street. Expect delays and please follow directions from flaggers and signs.
