Public Works crews have been removing storm debris from city streets and sidewalks and will continue as long as the weather allows. Residents have the following options to dispose of brush and storm debris;
1. Residents may bring storm debris to Public Works at 530 Maine Avenue 7 days a week during daylight hours. A windshield sticker is necessary and can be obtained at the Public Works office from 8am to 4:30 pm Monday through Friday. Proof of residency required.
2. The city provides curbside brush pick up during the month of May each year. We encourage residents to wait for this curbside service if they are unable to bring debris to Public Works.
3. Public Works crews will be picking up debris and if necessary residents may place storm debris curbside as soon as possible. We ask that no brush or storm debris be placed curbside after November 9th. Our concern is that the winter weather will close in on us and we are unable to complete a curbside brush pick up. Brush left curbside and in snow banks may impact our ability to clear sidewalks and remove snow from city streets.
