City staff are closely following the track of a winter storm anticipated to arrive in Bangor around noon today. A winter storm warning is in effect until early Thursday morning, with the most intense snow expected later this afternoon. Therefore, city offices, with the exception of emergency services and Parks and Recreation, will close for business on Wednesday, February 7 at 2:00 PM. Those with afternoon appointments today at Bangor Public Health and Community Services should call the office at 207-992-4530 to confirm and reschedule, if necessary.
A parking ban is in effect from 11:00 PM this evening, Wednesday, February 7, until 6:00 AM tomorrow morning, Thursday, February 8. Vehicles parked in city streets or in city parking lots during the ban may be towed at the owner’s expense.
Several City parking lots are available for emergency winter storm parking. The following list of parking lots are available for overnight parking during a parking ban, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 AM:
