1/4/2018 - City of Bangor Warming Centers Update

The City of Bangor has established a list of warming centers available to the public during the storm. The concern is that with wind gusts expected to peak at 50 mph, power outages are likely. The Bangor Police Department will transport people to warming centers if needed. To arrange for transport, please contact the Bangor Police Department at 207-947-7382.

Warming centers
The designated warming centers are as follows:
Bangor City Hall - open 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM (business offices closed at noon, but the building remains open)
Bangor Parks and Recreation - open 7:00 AM to 9:00 PM
Bangor Police Department - open 24/7
Central Fire Station - limited availability, please call ahead - 207-992-4700

The City will alert the public of any emergency shelters via the City's website (www.bangormaine.gov/jan4storm), Facebook page Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/BangorCityHall/), and Twitter page (https://twitter.com/Cityofbangorme). Information will also be posted to local news outlets.
