9/29/2015 - City Council and School Committee Candidates Forum to be held Wednesday, October 7th
There will be a Candidates’ Forum Wednesday, October 7 in the City Council Chambers, located on the third floor of Bangor City Hall. The forum is sponsored by The League of Women Voters of Maine and the Bangor Public Library. The Forum for School Committee Candidates will be held from 5:30 to 6:15 pm with the City Council Candidates forum immediately following at 6:30 PM.
In the City Council Forum, each candidate will be given two minutes for an introductory statement stating the candidate’s qualifications for the position and defining important issues each thinks City Council needs to address; then each candidate will be given one minute to answer the question from the League of Women Voters. After this question, there will be written questions from the audience, read by the moderator. After the public questions, each candidate will be given two minutes for a closing statement.
