7/8/2015 - Bangor Water District Work Plans for 7/12 - 7/14
The below plan was submitted to the City from the Bangor Water District (BWD) regarding work to be completed in Downtown Bangor from Sunday July 12th to Tuesday July 14th.
Sunday, July 12th 7am - finish
BWD will be digging and repairing a leaking fire service valve and what we suspect is a leaking fire service in the vicinity of 46 Main Street.
The work will require the use of several parking spots in the street.
Digging partially into the sidewalk may also be required.
Two way traffic will be maintained.
A brief (2-4 hour) water shut down may be required to make repairs. Customers on Main Street between Broad Street and Union Street will be affected if a shutdown is necessary.
Monday, July 13th, 7 am - finish
BWD will be repairing a leaking valve at the intersection of Cedar and Main Street. This work must be completed ahead of the City’s Main Street Paving Project
The work will require prohibiting right turns from Cedar Street on to Main Steet
3 Flaggers will be provided at the intersection
Two way traffic will be maintained
No water shut down is anticipated
Tuesday, July 14th, 7 am - finish
BWD will be repairing a hydrant located on Water Street that is needed by Parks & Rec. ASAP
Two way traffic will be maintained
Parking spaces on southwest side of Water Street will be used for traffic
Digging partially into the sidewalk on the north east side will be required
No water shutdown is anticipated
