Registered Nurse (Per Diem)- Immunization/Travel Medicine/Infectious Disease - For Future Openings

The City of Bangor’s Public Health & Community Services Department is accepting applications for RN’s for per diem work in our immunization clinic and travel medicine department. Responsibilities include reviewing immunization records, patient education/health counseling, administering vaccines and simple lab procedures. Routine immunization clinics are held Monday and Wednesday from 9-12 and one evening per month. Travel medicine consultations are booked by appointment based on nurse availability. The clinic offers limited STD testing on a walk-in basis. The successful applicants must be able to work flexible hours depending on clinic scheduling. Prior experience preferred. Training will be provided for nurses to advance to independent travel nurse consultant status. This location offers an opportunity for one on one contact with clients and a high degree of autonomy.

Possession of a current RN license and CPR certification is mandatory. Bachelors of Nursing preferred.

Applications are required and may be obtained online www.bangormaine.gov or in person at Bangor City Hall. Resumes will not be accepted as a stand-alone application. Application materials may be submitted directly to Human Resources by mail to: Bangor City Hall, 73 Harlow Street, Bangor, ME 04401 or via email apply@bangormaine.gov or Apply Here.
