BANGOR, Maine - Bangor Police arrested three people from a residence on Birch Street in Bangor after serving a search warrant related to a drug investigation.
Taken into custody were Nikolas Raines, 33, of Bangor; Angelique Ventimiglia, 51, of Bangor; and Hailey Sawyer, 28, of Bangor.
Members of the special response team, the criminal investigations division, and the community enforcement team searched the house and located illegal drugs, to include:
- Methamphetamine
- Fentanyl
- Cocaine base (crack)
A loaded handgun was also located and seized, as well as a large sum of cash believed to be proceeds from the sale of illegal drugs.

Raines was charged with the following:
- Refusal to Submit
- Falsifying Physical Evidence
- Unlawful Possession of Scheduled Drugs
- Possession of a firearm by user of controlled substances
At the time of his arrest, Raines was already on Federal Probation for firearm and drug trafficking charges.

Sawyer was charged with the following:
- Unlawful Possession of Scheduled Drugs
- Possession of a firearm by a prohibited person
- Violation of Bail Condition
Sawyer was already a prohibited person at the time of the warrant.

Ventimiglia was charged with:
- Aggravated Trafficking of Scheduled Drugs
The Aggravated factors of the charge are due to the location of the house in proximity to a City of Bangor safe zone (a designated city park).
