BANGOR, Maine -- A Bangor man is facing several charges, including assault on an officer after being stopped for impaired driving.
On Jan. 1, 2026 at approximately 03:35 a.m., Bangor Police Officers responded to the area of Harthorn Ave for the report of a vehicle partially off the road. When officers made contact with the driver who was identified as Skyler Wright, 27, of Bangor, they observed signs of impairment. While the officers were trying to administer standard field sobriety tests, Wright became uncooperative and was placed under arrest. While attempting to arrest Wright, officers were assaulted resulting in one needing to be transported to a local hospital for treatment.
