BANGOR, Maine - Bangor Police officers responded to a reported two-vehicle crash on Hammond Street on Dec. 1, around 1:43 a.m. Witnesses reported they saw one vehicle driving away. Officers were able to locate the vehicle and the driver that left the scene and identified her as Michele Payeur, 36, of Bangor.

Video footage from a nearby home showed Payeur driving during the crash and a male passenger fleeing the scene. Additional calls about a suspicious man were received near the area of the crash and police located Nicholas Bennett, 37, of Bangor.
