BANGOR, Maine - Three people are facing charges after police responded to a reported family fight around 11 p.m. on Aug. 4.
Arrested were Adam McKay, 40, of Levant; Adam Rugh, 38, of Bangor; and Kayla Kalel, 36, of Bangor.
When officers arrived at the scene, the home was unoccupied, but showed signs of a physical altercation. The scene was secured as a search warrant was prepared.
While officers were awaiting the warrant, Kalel walked back to the scene and was told she wasn’t allowed to enter the premises as is was a crime scene. Kalel then walked away. A short time later, an officer noticed Kalel was wearing different clothes than she had been a short time ago, and was carrying a bag. Officers stopped her, and ultimately arrested her after determining she had entered the crime scene, changed her clothes, and was carrying bloody clothes in the bag she had.
McKay was located by the Maine State Police, taken into custody, and transported back to Bangor.
Rugh was located in town after he called 911 to report an assault. He was taken to a hospital for treatment and released with non-life threating injuries. He was taken into custody after being released from the hospital.
McKay and Rugh are both being charged with Aggravated Assault, Aggravated Reckless Conduct, and Disorderly Conduct.
Kalel is charged with Obstructing Government Administration and Resisting Arrest.
