UPDATE: At about 11:30 a.m., the person on the roof of the house on Fourteenth Street surrendered, and was taken into protective custody, transported to a hospital for physical and mental health evaluation. An update will be provided if the person is charged with any offenses.
BANGOR, Maine - Members of the Bangor Police and Fire Department, as well as Bangor Police Department crisis negotiators are on the scene of an incident on 14th Street. A person has climbed onto a roof and refuses to come down.
14th Street, between Allen Street and Dean Street, will be closed to traffic until further notice.
An update will be provided when new information is available.
