Sucker Brook is located in the City of Bangor, Maine, and the Town of Hampden, Maine. The stream watershed area includes areas in Bangor south and east of Bangor International Airport including the Maine Business Enterprise Park, Odlin Road, Perry Road, and portions of Outer Hammond Street and Interstates I-95 and I-395.
The water quality of Sucker Brook has been assessed by the Maine Department of Environmental Protection (DEP), and determined not to meet state water quality standards for aquatic life use. The stream was consequently listed on the State's 303(d) list of impaired waters in 2004. The Maine DEP identified impervious cover and urban influence as stressors to Sucker Brook.
