Golf Course

Bangor Municipal Golf Course is a 27-Hole Geoffrey Cornish design situated uniquely in the heart of the City of Bangor. Designed for players of all abilities, "The Muni" is far from a typical public golf course. In addition to the 27-holes of great golf, we have a grass tee driving range, two practice greens, a short-game practice area, and a fully stocked pro shop.

History

Incorporated in 1791, Bangor is named for an Irish hymn entitled “Bangor,” said to be a favorite of pastor Seth Noble who traveled to Boston with the initial intention of naming the town Sunbury.

Winter Parking Regulations

The extensive efforts of Public Works to salt and prepare city streets for snowfall and then to remove snow from streets stretching across 34 square miles require that an overnight on-street parking ban be adopted across the city in the winter months.
