Councilor Susan Deane

Susan grew up in Massachusetts where she enjoyed a wonderful childhood with her parents and big brother. Her love of nature and animals was developed at a young age on her family farm. She moved to Maine and started high school at John Bapst and later transferred to Hampden Academy. She remained in Maine for college attending Colby College and the University of Maine concentrating in biology and business. She began a career in healthcare in Bangor. She met and married her husband and they were blessed with a son who now lives in southern Maine. She enjoys quality time on Phillips Lake with her family during the summer. She is currently the Practice Manager at Northeast Oral Surgery in Bangor. She has lived in Little City for the past 30 years and resides with her husband, dog and cat. You will find her most mornings walking with her giant 15 year old black lab ”Roxy” around the neighborhood. Susan was a past member of the Board of Appeals for the City of Bangor giving up the position only when elected to the council.
