Community Connector to Require All Passengers to Wear Face Covering Effective April 27
BANGOR, MAINE—Effective Monday, April 27, 2020, all passengers on the Community Connector bus system must wear a face covering. For the safety of bus drivers and other passengers as the COVID-19 pandemic continues, all passengers must cover their nose and mouth with a mask or cloth, such as a bandana, scarf, or other material that can cover both nose and mouth. Passengers who do not wear a face covering when boarding a bus and while riding a bus are subject to denial of boarding, removal, or exclusion from Community Connector buses.
In addition, as previously announced, no one shall use public transportation unless absolutely necessary. Passengers must have an essential destination, such as work at an essential business, grocery store, or medical care.
