11/3/2017 - Bangor Public Works to pick up storm debris beginning Monday, November 6

Beginning Monday, November 6, Public Works crews will begin picking up downed trees, branches and brush in the City of Bangor. Residents must place storm debris curbside no later than 6:00 AM on Monday, November 6. It is critical that storm debris be curbside early Monday morning because Public Works crews will make one pass throughout the City to collect it.

Curbside leaf collection began this past Monday, October 30. To ensure that leaves are collected, and safeguard leaf collection equipment, storm debris must be placed separate from leaf piles. Storm debris that covers leaf piles will prevent leaves from being picked up.

Bangor residents with a significant amount of storm debris from fallen trees and branches can call Public Works at (207) 992-4500 for assistance. Please be aware that it may take several weeks for Public Works to pick it up.

The Public Works facility, located at 530 Maine Avenue, is open daily during daylight hours for residents to drop off trees, brush and leaves. Residents with the means to transport storm debris are encouraged to take advantage of the Public Works facility.
