When Particles Collide to Perform this Week at the Cool Sounds Summer Concert Series in Downtown Bangor
This Thursday, August 13, the Downtown Bangor Partnership presents American rock duo When Particles Collide at the Cool Sounds Summer Concert Series, 6 p.m. in West Market Square. The Bangor-based band was voted 2014’s New Artist of the Year at the Boston Music Awards and has been touring the country promoting their most recent album “This Town,” an homage to Bangor. The music of When Particles Collide includes Southern Rock choruses, New Wave a la Blondie vocals, lightning speed Green Day-esque drumming, classic Motown grooves, and Queens of the Stone Age-style riffs.
The 2015 Cool Sounds Summer Concert Series lineup is as follows:
August 13 - When Particles Collide
August 20 - Tomato Tomato with Goldenoak
The free concert series will be held from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. in West Market Square and run in conjunction with the Fresh Air Market, open from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. The Cool Sounds Summer Concert Series and Fresh Air Market will continue every Thursday evening through August 20, rain or shine. Up to 20 vendors are expected weekly at the Fresh Air Market. Available items include artwork, specialty foods, jewelry, clothing and much more. Food vendors will also be on site.
