The City of Bangor will hold a Special Municipal Election on Tuesday, June 9, 2015. The polling place for all Bangor voters will be at the Cross Insurance Center, located at 515 Main Street. Voters should enter via the Southwest Entrance off Buck Street. Overflow parking will be available at Bass Park as well as the parking garage at Hollywood Casino.
Polls will be open on Tuesday, June 9, 2015 from 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Absentee Ballots are available at the City Clerk’s office, 73 Harlow Street, and may be requested until the close of business on Thursday, June 4, 2015 at 4:30 p.m. Please call (207) 992-4220 for more information on absentee voting.
Bangor voters will be casting a ballot on the following question:
Question 1: Do you favor approving the Bangor School Department budget for the upcoming school year that was adopted at the latest regional school unit budget meeting and that includes locally raised funds that exceed the required local contribution as described in the Essential Programs and Services Funding Act?
A YES vote allows additional funds to be raised for K-12 public education.
A NO vote means additional funds cannot be raised for K-12 public education.
