Public Safety: Bangor Police Museum

City of Bangor, Tramp ChairThe Bangor Police Department museum contains hundreds of authentic police items dating back to the 1700's. Special displays include mannequins dressed in actual uniforms, a scrapbook of news articles going back to the early 1800's and a mobile one-person jail cell called a "tramp chair."

The museum may be viewed by making an appointment. Please call (207) 947-7384 during normal business hours (Monday through Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM).
