Learn Not To Burn School Program -- A program for elementary schoolchildren with a focus on fire prevention and survival.

Fire Safety for the High School Student -- A program created expressly for teen-age students to prepare them for life after high school.

Juvenile Firesetter Program -- A program involving the child and family of the juvenile firesetter that determines the probable reason for the interest in fire and best solution to this problem.

Engine Company Visit -- Want a fire engine to visit your pre-school? Hosting a safety fair? Contact us at 992-4700 to arrange an Engine Company to come out to your location or to schedule a fire station tour.

Fire Extinguisher Level I Class -- Students learn how to safely and effectively extinguish fires with portable fire extinguishers. This class and the Level II class meet or exceed OSHA requirements for fire extinguisher training in the workplace.

Fire Extinguisher Level II Class photoFire Extinguisher Level II Class -- In the Level II Class the same topics are taught as the Level I Class but in greater detail. In addition, students go out to the Training Facility and use fire extinguishers on several different types of fires.

Evacuation & Fire Safety Planning -- The Fire Prevention Bureau can assist in developing an evacuation plan. If you have questions about where to start on your evacuation plan or simply would like your evacuation plan reviewed call for a free consultation or e-mail the plan.

Fire Safety Fairs -- If you are hosting a safety fair or another public event you can request the Fire Prevention Bureau set up our safety display which comes with free give-aways, brochures, etc.

Knox Box Program -- If you have a business that has a fire alarm system and/or sprinklers there is a good chance you are required by City ordinance to have a Knox Box -- a device for firefighters that allows them to quickly enter a building without damaging any doors or windows. Woodstove/Chimney Inspections -- You say you want to hook up that old woodstove or are wondering if it is safe to light a fire in the fireplace . . . give our Fire Inspectors a call and they'll come out to do a free safety check. 992-4264
