Engineering Department

Mission Statement

The Engineering Department serves the public through the design and construction of various municipal building and public works projects. The department serves as the depository for records of city-owned facilities and assists the public and professional community with inquiries regarding publicly owned properties and infrastructure. The City Engineer provides technical support for the City Council, Planning Board, City Manager, and other city departments and divisions, and protects public safety through the review of plans for various private projects that come before the Planning Board.
