Bangor Fire Department Promotions

John Prentiss, a veteran of the Bangor Fire Department since 1987, was promoted to Captain in early-September, filling the postion vacated by the retired Captain Jack Williams. Prentiss was promoted to the position of Lieutenant in 1994 and has been a member of the Dedham Fire Department since 1978 (he currently is a Captain in that fire department).

William VanPeursem (photo left) and Randy Lowe (photo bottom right) were promoted to the position of Lieutenant in early-September. VanPeursem has been with the Bangor FD since 1989 after working with the Brewer Fire Department for two years. VanPeursem has been assigned to work at the Central Fire Station on D-Crew. Lowe is a thirteen-year veteran of the Bangor Fire Department. Previously Lowe worked briefly for the Skowhegan Fire Department. Lowe has been assigned to B-Crew at the Central Fire Station.
